Ryan

Tommy is a Fargo native, who grew up working on cars as a hobby. He has worked at Gateway and Fargo Tire as well as most recently Drayton Foods as a Controls Specialist for the past 12 years.  Tommy always has some project car he is tinkering on in his garage or helping a friend out with their vehicle.

When not working, Tommy likes spending time with his family and friends enjoying sporting events, the lakes and of course working on cars, jet skis, boats or any toy he can get his hands on.

PAUL NYNAS - BOARD MEMBER

Paul is from a small town in Northern Minnesota but has been a Fargo resident since 2002.  He is the Executive Pastor at Hope Lutheran church, north and south, in Fargo.

He is married with two kids, and is an avid outdoorsman.  He, as his church, love the ministry of Fix It Forward.

MEET THE TEAM.

MARSHA SUSAG - SECRETARY/TREASURER

Marsha is a retired pharmacist who enjoys riding in the vehicles she and her husband David have restored.  Marsha has done bookkeeping for a number of non-profits over the last 36 years.

When not working on spreadsheets, she enjoys being with their two granddaughters and experimenting with new recipes.  Marsha also competes with her dogs, Lhasa Apsos, in a number of events.

STEPHEN DORSEY - BOARD MEMBER

TRAVIS HOPKINS - OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Stephen serves on the Board of Directors at Fix It Forward Ministry. His primary responsibility is marketing and communications for both the Ministry and Fix It Forward Auto Care.

Stephen is a professional Graphic/Web Designer with over 27 years of industry experience in brand development, print design and website design. He is owner of Dorsey Design Services.

Time outside of Fix It Forward is spent with his wife and three children. Stephen enjoys a good metal guitar riff and all things custom cars.

Travis assists with social media marketing and content creation for both Fix It Forward Auto Care and Fix It Forward Ministry.

Travis host’s a local radio show Monday - Friday on 95.9 KRFF.  He’s worked in media, marketing and event coordinating for 15 years.

Travis enjoys spending time with his wife, their Chihuahua “Middy,” going to pow wows, concerts, and sharing dad jokes.

JEREMY JENSEN - VICE PRESIDENT

Jeremy is Vice President of Fix It Forward Ministry and Co-Founder of Fix It Forward Auto Care. Jeremy is a Principal Software Architect at Microsoft, starting back in 1999 with Great Plains Software.

Jeremy has always had a passion for cars and helping others. When not working at Microsoft or leveraging his passions at the Ministry and Fix It Forward Auto Care, Jeremy is active in his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and two great kids and camping. He enjoys tinkering on cars, woodworking and in general, building things.

DAVID PEDERSON - BOARD MEMBER

David is a Fix It Forward Ministry Board member and active work team volunteer. A strong Christian, David is a strong believer in being driven to serve others.

Away from the Ministry, David is married with five children, active in the Gateway Lion's Club and works professionally as Head of Maintenance for a property management company.

MATTHEW CARLSON - PRESIDENT

Matthew is the President of both Fix It Forward Ministry and Fix It Forward Auto Care. A self-proclaimed “car guy”, Matthew quit his day job of 15 years, as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, to run the Ministry and Fix It Forward Auto Care full-time.

When not working at Fix It Forward, you can find him playing with old cars or spending time with his wife and four kids.

Justin is a Fargo native, who grew up racing BMX bikes and working on cars and trucks with his dad for fun. He attended NDSCS of Wahpeton for Automotive Technology. After getting his degree, he worked at a small independent shop for a few months and then moved to the local Ford dealer, where he was employed for over 15 years. He is Ford Master Certified in Electrical, Engines/Drivetrain and Chassis. He is also ASE Certified.

In Justin’s words “I have an amazing wife, stepdaughter and three dogs that keep me busy. When I have spare time, I enjoy building off-road and mud trucks and using them. I also have fun riding motorcycle and taking my family to the lakes in our boat.”

JUSTIN JONDAHL - TECHNICAL ADVISOR

Kenny is a native of Des Moines, IA. He attended MSCTC in Moorhead where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Automotive Service. He has nine years experience in a local GM dealership before moving to a local Forklift/Material Handling company as a road service technician where he worked for an additional 3 years before coming to Fix It Forward. He is ASE Certified.

“I love all things automotive, in my spare time you can find me working on my project car or spending time at the lakes all year round.”

KENNY HEIMDAHL - TECHNICAL ADVISOR

RYAN JONASSON - TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR

Ryan is a volunteer at Fix It Forward Ministry, starting by helping with car repairs. He now serves as the Technology Coordinator for Fix It Forward, helping the rest of the team operate efficiently with the tools available.

He has 20 years of experience in computer industries, currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft.

He is married with three children, and in his fleeting spare time, is very involved with his daughter's BSA Scout troop.

ISAAC TORGERSON - TECHNICAL ADVISOR

Isaac grew up in Fargo mostly but lived in a few different states. Isaac joined the military where he served five years in the Army. Here, he would spend countless hours repairing the heavy equipment soldiers operate on. This experience led him to start his career as an automotive technician.

Isaac enjoys working on his truck and motorcycle in his spare time.
