Car donation #315.

Yet another car donation to end this amazing week of helping solve the transportation needs of those most in need in our community.

Car #315 has found its new owner!

The vehicle went to a lady working with Perry Center. They have been helping her flee and recover from an abusive relationship. When she found out she was pregnant, her live-in boyfriend began physically abusing her. She came to the Perry Center where she prepared for the birth of her baby. After her baby was born she was able to find her own apartment, employment and child care.

She was utilizing Uber for rides and to get to her job at 5:30am. This vehicle will immediately positively impact her financially as the Uber rides were becoming very expensive. It also will grant her the independence to continue her journey towards safe and stable living for herself and her newborn daughter.

Thanks to the lady that donated her vehicle after deciding to upgrade. Also thanks to our volunteer labor team and 7th Ave Auto for locating the needed parts. Together we were successful in getting this vehicle road ready for this deserving mother.
