Car donation #318.

Car #318 has been donated!

This nice low mileage vehicle went to a lady working with YWCA Cass Clay. She has spent most of her life dealing with mental health issues and has been making great progress towards becoming independent. 

She has started applying for employment and having a vehicle would greatly increase her ability to secure stable work. This car is the first car she has ever owned. She was overwhelmed with emotion, crying with joy when we handed her the keys. After many hugs, she sat in the car for over 20 minutes trying to compose herself before leaving.

We also had an Auto Care customer sitting in our lobby area that witnessed the entire car donation. She expressed amazement in seeing the whole process, posting on her Facebook page and calling people to tell them of her experience. She was very touched.
