Car donation #371.

This nice PT Cruiser went to a lady working with CAPLP - Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership.

She and her children became homeless in September of 2020 after fleeing domestic violence. With the help of her case manager and housing program, she and her children were housed 2/1/2022.

Without a vehicle, she does not have reliable/safe transportation to meet the needs for her family and find employment, causing the family to struggle to make ends meet. This vehicle donation will give this family the security and independence they need to succeed.

The vehicle was donated by a local lady. Her father was driving it but after a no-start situation, it was parked. After sitting for some time, they decided to donate the vehicle to us.

With the help of our volunteers, it is back on the road with suspension work, a tune up, an oil change and a thorough cleaning of the inside.Summer continues to challenge our throughput as our volunteer numbers decrease during these months.
