This nice Dodge went to a family working with the Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center (Fargo, ND).
In July 2021, their young son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. The family had to leave their home in Dickinson, ND and are now living at the Ronald McDonald House in Fargo. The son is continuing to receive chemotherapy and medical care at Sanford and at Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center.
Unfortunately, the father was recently in a car accident. The car was brought to Fix It Forward in South Fargo for an inspection before being sent to a body shop. An estimate was received and the vehicle has been totaled.
Due to having no car, he is unable to work and is relying on cab rides to get to/from appointments. A vehicle would allow them to gain back their independence and ability to work again. Having stable transportation is very important so that their son does not miss any of his appointments and they have transportation in case of an emergency.
We hope this vehicle donation empowers this family and helps them navigate this difficult situation.
Tune in today to KRFF 95.9 Radio Free Fargo at 10am to hear this family's story from the father himself.
Thanks so much to everyone who has helped during this car donation process. Partners, volunteers, Fix it Forward Auto Care and others came together to lift this family up during this time of need!
