DONATE MONEY

Jeremy Jensen, August 29 2022

Car donation #339.

This nice SUV went to a lady working with Cass County Social Services.

She is a single mother of four children. Her husband is estranged, abandoning the family, and moving back to their home state. He does not provide for them financially or in any way.

She has historically had difficulty finding and maintaining employment due transportation issues. Additionally, two of her four children are high needs and are often engaging in risky behaviors and disrupting school. In these instances, she's needed to ride public transportation to the school to bring them home.

Currently, she is either walking to appointments or taking the bus, riding with passes, or using a gift card to cover the costs. This vehicle will allow her to manage this difficult situation, giving her the freedom to attend appointments, seek behavioral therapy for her children, and relieve stress for her family.

Thanks to the local family for donating their vehicle to the Ministry in hopes that it's new life would enable independence and self-sufficiency for someone in need.

Big thanks to our volunteer teams for completing the repairs and making this vehicle safe and reliable for this deserving family.
